Project Snapshot
The Rastafarian eco-project is well under way with some amazing progress to date. Much work still needs to be done, and funds are limited.
As a potential volunteer, do you feel it more beneficial
to dedicate time and money to:
Volunteering in Africa
Contributing directly to wildlife conservation in Africa is a rewarding way to spend your gap year or career break. Volunteering in Africa has the added benefit of introducing you to new cultures and experiences, while the conservation project or local community can benefit from your skills.

The Garden Route Project
This volunteer project involves the monitoring and population assessment of marine, estuarine and terrestrial species. We also work alongside the Rastafarian community, street children and local schools in various attempts to rehabilitate degraded ecosystems.
The Tree Planting Expedition
Volunteers will work hand-in-hand with local communities to remove alien invasive plant species, set up indigenous nurseries and plant indigenous saplings in deforested areas at nine stops along the East Coast of South Africa.
